Whats going on

19 April 2025

With the new year starting, now is a good time to set some new goals and polish up on others. It really does not matter if it is agility or just something you enjoy doing with your pup. Get out there and make some great memories.

Team Collies had a busy week in the beginning of the month doing Fast Cat and then going to their Nationals doing Agility, and then Rally. Then they went home for a quick turn around and then finished it off with another weekend of Agility at Dream Dogs Training Center.

Ziva

19 April 2025

My girl Ziva turned 12 in January. She may not get around as well as she used to but she still gets out there and gives the young ones a run for their money. She just does not last as long as she used to, but it still puts a smile on my face.

Ziva was the star on the first day of agility. She returned to the agility ring for one last time and participated in the veterans run. She pranced around the ring like she owned it, which she did at that moment. With the applause and cheers from the crowd she added an extra step or two to keep the excitement of being back in the ring extra special. Heck it even added an extra step from me, To finish her run we did all twelve weaves and then very proudly took the last jump. It was a run both of us will remember for a very long time.

Deeks

28 January 2025

Caryl and Deeks are starting 2025 with a new outlook with their runs. As of January Caryl  moved Deeks up to his measured jump height of twenty inches. She will start running him competivly but still has a lot of training and learning together. They are starting a new and exciting journey together. It should be a fun year. Of course they will also continue in Rally, Fast Cat, and start their career in the Breed Ring. Who knows, there may be a championship in the future.

Ellie

31  March 2025

We had to put Ellie's retraining in the agility ring on hold for awhile due to my back issues. She was starting to overcome her ring stress and we were starting to have fun again. Not being sure how long I will not be running we are looking at a few other options with her.

She will still run in Fastcat which she loves doing. The minute she knows we are at a trial she starts howling and barking to get in the ring.

Gibbs

31  March 2025

Due to my back issues, Caryl will be running Gibbs for a while as long as it does not interfere with her training Deek's. AKC recently announced they will allow us to transfer our points and Q's from his regular jump height to his preferred height. With this change, there is a possibility that Gibbs will be able to earn his PAX and Pach this year. This is one goal I would love to see him earn with everything he has been through in the ring.
