Whats going on
17 January 2026
Happy New Year. 2026 looks like it will be a fun year for Team Collies. As of the new year Deeks will be the only one competing. We will still run Ellie in League to keep her active but not sure if she will ever compete again. We have had Gibbs looked at numerous times and have really not come up with anything solid on his behavior in the ring.
Ziva
12 December 2025
My girl Ziva turns 13 in January. She may not get around as well as she used to but she still gets out there and gives the young ones a run for their money. She just does not last as long as she used to, but it still puts a smile on my face.
Ziva was the star on the first day of our Collie Nationals. She returned to the agility ring for one last time and participated in the veterans run. She pranced around the ring like she owned it, which she did at that moment. With the applause and cheers from the crowd she added an extra step or two to keep the excitement of being back in the ring extra special. Heck it even added an extra step from me, To finish her run we did all twelve weaves and then very proudly took the last jump. It was a run both of us will remember for a very long time.
Deeks
12 December 2025
Its been a fun year watch Caryl and Deeks form as a team. They worked their way up to masters in all three classes and have started earning some speed points. They have yet to earn his first double Q but he is getting close. At 2 1/2 years of age we can not complain about how well he is doing. 2026 looks like it is going to be a fun year.
Ellie
12 December 2025
Caryl is still running Ellie in the agility league. We don't know if she will ever return to the ring competitively but as long as she is having fun, that is all we want..
Ellie Still loves running Fast Cat and earned her Dcat Title last month. We do think this is her favorite sport and her excitement has carried over to Deeks. Once they know where they are they start crying and barking to get into the ring. Ellie even lets out a few howls as well.
Gibbs
21 May 2025
As I mentioned earlier, I retired Gibbs from Agility. He is still doing Rally with Caryl so hopefully he will get over the stress issue and keep having fun with her. I do miss running with him but his health and happiness is more important. Perhaps down the road we will look into a pup so I have someone to run. Time will tell.
